–“So you want to be an actor…”–Background Work - Why to Start and When to Stop–“How Do I Get The Right Agent”– Personalized Headshot and Resume Evaluation –"Marketing" Yourself with Social Media –DO IT RIGHT: Self-taping Auditions–Auditioning in the Room and Other Things That Get You Dead–How to Be a Working Actor Outside of LA and NY–Creating Your Own Content And Getting It Seen -Actors Access and Casting Networks Tools and Recommendations - Southeastern Industry Players: Who to Know and How to stay connected -"I Thought the Strike Was Over... What's Next!?" ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ASKED TO TAPE A “SELF-TAPE” IN ADVANCE to be reviewed and critiqued in class, but is NOT mandatory. SCENE STUDY WORKOUT Sunday December 8, 2024 In-Person: Chicago, IL 10 AM - 6:30 PM $125 Investment - 1 Day (after 11/18 - $150)$175 Investment - Both Days (after 11/18 - $200) Morning work will include individual scene work (sides sent in advance) with redirects. Afternoon work will include scene work with classmates (cold) with redirects. Note: a number of different techniques will be used in redirects, to show class attendees various ways casting directors/ directors may redirect you... and often "what they mean" when the direction is unclear!
